About Bake Bubbie
I’m Deborah Smith, proud “bubbie” to four wonderful grandchildren. I love to bake and dream of including my little ones in the kitchen as they grow up.
When Covid-19 hit, our collective lives and routines were upended. Many people lost jobs and their sense of stability. Others had to delay or reimagine milestone events. I wondered what I could do to help. I began baking cakes for friends and family members to celebrate birthdays, weddings, and other special moments they were experiencing during quarantine.
Instead of payment, I ask recipients to make a donation to a non-profit organization working to improve people’s lives in honor of my late husband Bob Smith.
To date, Bake Bubbie has raised more than $10,000 for non-profits while creating joyous memories.
